When you are a registered student at Metropolitan   you receive  staff  discount  at our flagship pub Elwoods. The restaurant is located directly beneath the school at  3141 West   Broadway,   so  come by for lunch or dinner before class or on your free time. The discount entitles you to 50% off all you food purchases   (liquor  sales  not  included) and lasts for the entire time that you are our student.  (Offer  expires  on  last  day  of  class)

All our staff have over 10 years of professional experience behind the bar and dealing with guests. Bringing their self taught tricks of the trade and personal sales techniques to your classes makes this experience unique.
Chad Horton
 
A motivational speaker at the age of nineteen, graduate of the Pacific Rim School Of Fine Dining, a professional singer/songwriter and crackerjack salesman, Chad is the definition of what it takes to make it in the business. Having worked throughout all of the Lower Mainland he has intimate knowledge of Vancouver’s Club, Restaurant and Bar environment. His personal service philosophies and exceptional work ethic will stand to the benefit of even the most seasoned bar professional.
Matt Thompson
 
Getting his start behind the bar in Toronto Matt has been a Vancouver bar operator for over 10 years. Elwood’s, Nevermind, Hell’s Kitchen and The Five Point have all flourished from their beginnings under the watchful eye of this entrepreneur. With a personal understanding of the business side of our industry he brings a keen knowledge of what makes or breaks a successful bartender.
Dave Mott
 
A veteran of the all night Vancouver club and after-hours party scene Dave is a professional bartender that worked his way up from the bottom. With over 16 years of practical experience he has mastered the art of guest service. Having mastered everything from the highest level of wine service in some of Vancouver’s finest restaurants to slinging shots in his very own after-hours nightclub this pro has invaluable first hand experience.
